What is Spacer?
One of the most ubiquitous complaints about bras is that they are HOT. If your nipples not showing is a non-negotiable, you likely need a bra with some padding. Often, padding is made out of foam. Like a mattress or pillow, foam bras can heat up, trapping heat inside the cups and giving you boob sweat.
Luckily, not all foam is created equal. This season, we are introducing two bras made out of a special type of foam called spacer. Here is how regular foam and spacer foam compare:

Regular foam is dense. The air pockets in it are tiny. It’s difficult for air to travel from one side of the foam to the other. When you wear a bra made out of regular foam, your body heat enters the foam cups but cannot escape.

Spacer foam is specifically created for air to travel through. The foam fibers are arranged in an “X” shape between the layers of fabric. This allows the cups to have some thickness without the bulk. Spacer foam is not only more breathable, but also lighter than regular foam.
