We currently offer 2 options for 28 bands: Harper and Petal (in D-H cups). We launched them in summer 2022. So far, 28 bands have taken up just under 2% of sales for these two products.

When we order products from the factory, there is a Minimum Order Quantity per style/color/size combination. Harper and Petal have 3 colors and 5 cup sizes each for 28 bands, which means there are 30 unique style/color/size combinations. With 50 as the Minimum Order Quantity, we have to order a minimum of 1500 pieces.

The sell-through rate of 28 bands is about 12% since the products launched (for every 100 bras we stock, we sell 12, while 88 sit in the warehouse). For a retail business to survive, the average sell-through rate needs to hit about 50% (in one season).

However, we’ve been with you in the fitting room when a 30 band is just too big to be supportive. Some people need a 28, a bigger band won’t do.

What we will do: we can’t afford to offer 28 bands in every style at this stage. Moving forward, we will choose 2-ish styles each season to include 28 bands.

If our 28 bands sales grow, we have no trouble hitting the Minimum Order Quantity and can maintain the sell-through rate at a healthy level, we will include more styles! As always, if you have feedback about our products, write to us at hello@understance.com or DM us.
